Christine has been working with watercolor on rice paper for over 30 years but recently she became fascinated with painting wearable art on raw silk.

Painting on raw silk is very similar to painting on rice paper but the design must be simplified because each color section is enclosed with a resist to keep the silk dyes where they belong. The dyes spread uncontrollably on the silk which adds to the fun of working with this medium because there can be lots of 'happy accidents'. Although similar designs and themes are used, each piece is unique and signed by the Artist.
